Mean TV Prank
I love Japanese prank shows because they can get away with a lot more than is allowed on American TV. They walk a precarious line between hilarity and cruelty and occasionally things get ugly. I think that when people start developing PTSD it might have been taken a smidge too far.

ReplyDeletedude, America has scare tactics. This isn't any worse.
ReplyDeleteI feel very bad about myself for laughing so hard. I guess we are all a little mean in our hearts...
ReplyDeletechowder... they're called "squibs" ;)
ReplyDeleteNow he's going to need therapy a few years from now.
Chowder138: its wasnt real bullets, its small exploding sacks, taped to their skin underneith their clothes. common in action movies.
ReplyDeletebloody hell though, i bet that guy is scarred for life!
I seem to remember Derren Brown doing something similarly terrible to this, on British TV, involving hypnotism and zombies. Fun times.
ReplyDeletelol, when I first saw this I thought of the Derren Brown zombie episode too. Shame I can't find a decent version online it was bloody great.
ReplyDeletebut this is real and all other shows are setup Derren Brown 100% fake maybe 1 or 2 scare tactics are real
ReplyDeletelmmfao i wish they had this in america cause scare tactics will never get that good!
ReplyDeleteand he will most definitely need therapy after that.

ReplyDelete@Anonymous Too risky, though. If you had this in america the tricked person would pull out his own gun and start shooting.
ReplyDeletethis gotta be fake
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I think this video is REAL. Yep, I said it.
ReplyDeleteWhy?
First off, he's a TV show celebrity (and in Japan they tend to be a bit girly, without showing it-- mostly the older men). So he wouldn't exactly stand up for himself! Especially if his life is on the line and nobody is watching (nobody sees, no embarrassment).
Second, it's just a video. If it's fake (which I doubt), it was entertaining. Youtube video's job accomplished.
In America we'd pull out a gun? Stop judging us by what you watch on TV!
ReplyDeleteid pull my own gun, nuff said
ReplyDeleteMost people getting pranked on TV are comedians. In Japanese TV industry it is considered acceptable to pull some cruel/hilarious pranks on younger comedians. Senior comedians rarely receives such treatment although they went through it when they were younger. The people love it too. And yes... its all real... I grew up watching these shows since i was a kid.
ReplyDeleteMatter of time before someone bitch slaps them with a lawsuit?
ReplyDeleteOMG WHY THE HELL CAN I NOT STOP LAUGHING, DID I FIND THIS THAT FREAKING FUNNY???
