  1. With the immense pressure Japanese kids face in school, it's no wonder they start drinking early! Society owes them this!

  2. Does it actually taste like de-alcoholized beer or is it sweeter? I didn't think kids would like a bitter drink like beer.

Please tell me it doesn't have alcohol in it.

  3. Am I the only one who called those Five Alive drinks "Children's Wine?" as a kid?

  4. At the end of the second one I can clearly make out "There is no alcohol." So at least that's good...

  5. And they wonder why the Japanese government itself has said the population of Japan will be cut in half by 2050?

  6. The country seems to be on the path to self-destruction. Have they discarded all their values?

  12. Here in America people aren't allowed to drink until they're at least 21. We Americans still hold true to policies like that.

Alcohol or no alcohol, the idea of beer for kids makes me wanna ROTFL, so to speak, because I've NEVER heard of it before.

  13. Just keep in mind that not being allowed to drink until you're 21 and not drinking until you're 21 are to very different things.

This does seem to be pushing it a little bit, though, lol.

  17. Growing up in The Netherlands, we'd get 'child champagne' on New Year's Eve; it had the same colour and bubbles as champagne, only it was much sweeter. I can imagine this kid's beer is sort of similar. Brings back memories! ^^

  19. Difference in mentality of Americans, compared to nations that allow people to drink alcohol at an early age.

Americans: "Lets get so trashed that we pass out!!!"
    Other Countries: "Lets go drink."

The reason: Americans aren't allowed to drink till they're 21. This is the usual time most young adults are in college. They learn their drinking behavior from other college students...which basically amounts to "chug, chug, chug!" They don't learn it from their families, so they don't learn to use it in moderation. To an American...drinking beer means you need to get drunk. To those other countries...drinking beer means drinking a beverage.

  20. I remembered I saw this on a convenience store in Japan last time I went there. The difference is the label is more attractive. And yes, it is sweeter and no-alcohol in it. Great thing tho.

  21. It wouldn't be much better if the drinking age was like 18, around high school age. Used to be that way in the 70s, and drunk driving accidents were really high. And Americans get piss-drunk because that's when all the fun stuff happens. Seriously, if I ever sleep in one night, I miss out on hours of crazy stories about what happens with the rest of my friends.

  22. there is a little disclaimer at the end that says "is not alcohol" so that's good. but I love the fact that it says "sangria" hmm I thought it was beer...

  23. i like how this thing is directly translated into "Kid's Drink" lol

  24. My parents always brought me children's champaign when there was some kind of celebration.
This is no different. I don't see what's so weird about it. =/

  25. "Meh, nobody gives a rat's ass about the drinking age, so might as well make profit. Mustn't offend the gods of capitalism!"

  26. There's nothing weird about this - at least from a German perspective. We have an alcohol-free beer-based beverage over here called "Malzbier", which has a sweet malty taste that children like. It's quite healthy and liked by people of all ages.

  27. hey morons its more like root beer not an actually beer. You should really do a little research and/or try it yourselves before saying such negative and moronic things. I had one today and its taste a lot like some kind of cream soda /root float hybrid.
