Battle Royale

.

Robo Geisha

This isn't really a trailer, its more like a list of the most awesome things in the world. I will definitely be renting this movie and uploading the best parts for you guys to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who emailed me this video.
... for some reason I really want some fried shrimp and a glass of milk right now.

Lucky Cider

This video is like the Japanese version of the Old Spice commercials.

The Calamari Wrestler

This is a clip from The Calamari Wrestler directed by Japanese supergenius Minoru Kawasaki. Lets face it - Japanese movies with crazy costumes are a dime a dozen, but Kawasaki's movies are set apart by his intense dramatic scenes. It's amazing how much emotional depth can be expressed by a rubber squid's robotic eyelids. You can get a US copy of The Calamari Wrestler here

Hausu

This is a clip from the 1977 movie Hausu, which is possibly the greatest horror movie ever made. This segment is fairly indicative of the whole movie, it's pretty much just an hour and a half of various household items eating people. Sometimes they throw in a couple shots of cats making strange facial expressions, but mostly it's just lampshades and pianos decapitating schoolgirls. Who could ask for anything more?

Mutant Girl Squad

Noboru Iguchi (Robo-Geisha) and Yoshihiro Nishimura (Tokyo Gore Police) have just finished their next masterpiece: Mutant Girl Squad. Its US premier is coming up on July 3rd at the New York Asian Film Festival. Tickets are on sale now, if you live in New York I wouldn't miss it. You can see the complete schedule here, it looks like it's going to be an excelent year for Japanese B movies.

Big Man Japan

All the movies that make their way onto WTFJS seem to be low budget B movies. Its nice to see a movie that has WTFs as well as a million dollar CGI budget. You should definitely see this movie, there are several classic Japanese city crushing fight scenes that should not be missed. You can buy the DVD here.
